This was a commissioned piece for a customer who requested a Black Madonna done in a Mexican or Latin/South American style...I did a lot of prayerwork, ritual and meditation everytime I worked on this image. I asked for a lot of love and healing to be sent to the customer and anyone who viewed it. My inspirations were the traditional Virgen de Guadalupe paintings and statuary, and other Madonna imagery...I loved creating the Madonna and have begun a few more...
